1. Who we are
DailyCelebsHub (the “Site”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a public editorial website. The Site is operated by Vedbit Technologies Private Limited (“Vedbit”), available at vedbit.com.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you. It applies to the public Site and the forms and features available on it (including comments, newsletter subscribe/unsubscribe, and the contact form). It does not cover third-party websites that we link to.
Questions about this policy: email [email protected] or use our contact page.
2. Scope and roles
For personal information processed in connection with the Site, Vedbit acts as the organisation responsible for deciding why and how that information is processed (sometimes called a data fiduciary or controller under applicable law). Service providers listed in this policy process information on our behalf or as independent providers of analytics, hosting, or email delivery.
The Site does not offer reader accounts. You do not need to create a login to read articles. Operators who sign in to our private editorial CMS are covered by internal access controls; this public policy focuses on visitors and readers of the Site.
3. Information you provide
We collect personal information that you choose to submit through Site features:
3.1 Contact form
When you use the contact page, we collect your name, email address, and message. We store the inquiry in our database so our team can review and respond. If email notification is configured, a copy of the inquiry may also be sent to our notification inbox through our email delivery provider (Resend).
3.2 Newsletter
When you subscribe, we collect your email address. Subscription is single opt-in: submitting the form adds (or reactivates) your address on our newsletter list. We store a status (active or unsubscribed) and issue an opaque unsubscribe token. You can leave the list at any time via the unsubscribe page/link we provide. We do not sell newsletter addresses.
3.3 Comments
On posts that accept comments, you may submit a display name, email address, and comment body (and, for replies, a reference to the parent comment). Comments are held for moderation. Your email is stored for moderation and abuse prevention and is not shown publicly. If a comment is approved, the display name, body, and timing may appear on the post page after the Site is rebuilt. Rejected or pending comments are not published.
4. Information collected automatically
4.1 Hosting and security infrastructure
The Site and related APIs are hosted on Cloudflare (including content delivery, Workers, and related storage databases). Like most hosts, Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP address, request URLs, timestamps, user agent, and similar connection metadata to deliver pages, absorb abuse, apply rate limits on public form endpoints, and maintain service reliability. Cover images and other media may be served from object storage (Cloudflare R2) via public URLs.
4.2 Fonts
The Site serves web fonts from its own origin (self-hosted font files bundled with the Site). Your browser does not request fonts from Google Fonts or another third-party font CDN for Site typography.
4.3 Analytics (when enabled)
When analytics is enabled on the live Site, we use:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — to understand aggregate traffic and engagement (for example pages viewed, approximate geography derived by Google, device and browser categories, and similar measurement events). Google may set cookies or use similar identifiers as described in our Cookie Policy and in Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft Clarity — to understand how visitors interact with pages (including heatmaps and session replays built from page structure and interactions such as clicks, scrolls, and mouse movements). Clarity may set cookies or use similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy and in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Clarity provides masking controls; we do not ask you to type passwords into Site forms, and comment/contact emails are submitted through our own forms rather than being intended for replay disclosure.
Analytics scripts are loaded when the Site is configured with the relevant measurement IDs. There is no separate cookie banner in the current version of the Site; you can limit analytics via browser controls and the vendor opt-out tools listed in section 10 and the Cookie Policy.
4.4 What we do not intentionally collect
We do not operate reader login accounts on the Site. Site search runs in your browser against content already included in the page build and does not send your search queries to our servers.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies, local storage, pixels, and scripts may be used for hosting, security, and analytics as described above. For categories, vendors, and controls, see our Cookie Policy.
6. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Operate, secure, and maintain the Site and related APIs
- Receive and respond to contact inquiries
- Maintain the newsletter list and honour unsubscribe requests
- Moderate comments and publish approved comment threads
- Measure and improve content, layout, and performance (analytics when enabled)
- Prevent spam, abuse, and excessive automated traffic (including IP-based rate limits)
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
We do not use newsletter or contact data to build third-party advertising audiences.
7. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the Site:
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, database, and media delivery infrastructure
- Resend — transactional email when configured (for example contact-form notifications to our team; Operator invite/reset flows on the private CMS are separate from the public Site)
- Google — Google Analytics (when enabled)
- Microsoft — Microsoft Clarity (when enabled)
- Authorities or advisors — when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Site
Approved comments (display name and body) are publicly visible on the Site. We do not sell your personal information.
8. Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law:
- Contact inquiries — retained while open/resolved records are useful for support history and abuse prevention; we may delete or anonymise older records
- Newsletter — email retained while subscribed; after unsubscribe we may retain the address and status as needed to honour the opt-out and prevent accidental re-adds, or delete per your valid erasure request where applicable
- Comments — retained for moderation history and, if approved, for publication on the related post; we may remove comments that violate our Terms
- Analytics and logs — retained according to Cloudflare, Google, and Microsoft product settings and our operational needs
9. International transfers
Vedbit is based in India. Our service providers (including Cloudflare, Google, Microsoft, and Resend) may process information in India, the United States, the European Union, or other countries. Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate contractual and organisational safeguards offered by those providers.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law (including India’s digital personal data protection framework where it applies), you may have rights to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Request erasure of personal information we no longer need to retain
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (for example newsletter)
- Raise a grievance about how we handle your personal information
To make a request, email [email protected] or use the contact page. We may need to verify that you control the email address or other identifiers involved before fulfilling a request.
Practical self-service options:
- Newsletter — use unsubscribe with your token or link
- Google Analytics — browser controls; Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on and Google Privacy Policy
- Microsoft Clarity — browser controls and the Microsoft Privacy Statement
11. Children’s privacy
The Site is aimed at a general audience interested in entertainment news and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be highlighted on the Site. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
